Since 2003, Osupurē Karate has been providing the Daniel Island area with the best karate instruction in the Southeast United States. Although our name is new, our dojo and great instruction are the same.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help each and every student who joins Osupurē Karate to learn how to conquer their own weaknesses. Whether they are physical, emotional or mental weaknesses, we strive to be the best version of ourselves as we can. We use traditional Wado Ryu Karate instruction as the vehicle to achieve this goal. 

Our Precepts

1. Uphold the Principles of Propriety and Courtesy
As we tell the younger students...Do what you are supposed to do and always be nice. 

2. Cultivate the Spirit of Effort
Encourage others to succeed, as well as yourself. Although life is full of competition, karate is a personal journey that is unique to the individual. We are here to help each other. 

3. Perfect a Mind of Patience
Learn to appreciate waiting. Not all of what is worth achieving is instant. 

4. Live the Way of Truth
Keep truthfulness in your heart and mind.

5. Do Not Lose Self Control Or Act In A Violent Manner
An individual who lashes out in anger and emotion is already defeated
